Tsomgo Lake

Rumtek Monastery

Rumtek Monastery is nestling in the Rumtek region of Sikkim and is one of the greatest East Sikkim traveler places, situated almost 23 km apart from the most important city of Gangtok. Rumtek is also one of the main and most well-liked monasteries of Sikkim, belonging to the Kargyu Sect of Buddhists. It also bears a signal similarity to the well-known Tsurphu Monastery of Tibet.

Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple

Cradled by the Nathula Pass and Jelep La Pass on either side, Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, lovingly recognized as ‘Baba Mandir’ is a posthumous mark of respect to a heroic warrior of the Indian Army. Namgyal Institute of Tibetology

Jelep La

Jelep La is so far one more dramatic high height mountain peak pass that reigns at a height of about 14,000 ft., stretching from East Sikkim to part of Tibet. The name ‘Jelep’ translates into a ‘lovely level pass’, which is a straight suggestion to the level terrain of the pass. Nestled in Gangtok Tashi area, the Tashi Visions Point is a favorite between travelers and similar populace. Enchey Monastery

One of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim, Enchey Monastery dates back 200 years, when it was owned by Lama Dhrupthob Karpo. A mere 10 minutes’ drive from Gangtok, the monastery is defined with a typical Chinese Pagoda on the peak, along with some stroke of Chinese architectural style that adorns the walls. 

There is a massive hope hall, which carries boundless images and portrayal of a diversity of Gods, Goddesses and Tantric murals. Tukla Valley

Do Drul Chorten

Nathang Valley

Nathang Valley is the perfect kept secret of East Sikkim! Sitting at a height of 13,500 ft., the valley is lovingly well-known as ‘Ladakh of East Sikkim.’ Nathang is a beautiful small village, which has been off the compressed paths of seeing the highlights for long. The village falls on the Old Silk Route, which links India and China via a trade route.
