Tsomgo Lake

Tsomgo Lake is one of the most dramatic spots to visit in East Sikkim, at a distance of mere 38 km from the most important city of Gangtok. Floating at a dizzying elevation of 12,400 ftTsomgo Lake, close to Changu Lake, requires finding the way through a zigzag road that cuts in stony mountain and thin cliffs. Nathu La Pass

Hanuman Tok

Rumtek Monastery

Rumtek Monastery is nestling in the Rumtek region of Sikkim and is one of the greatest East Sikkim traveler places, situated almost 23 km apart from the most important city of Gangtok. Rumtek is also one of the main and most well-liked monasteries of Sikkim, belonging to the Kargyu Sect of Buddhists. It also bears a signal similarity to the well-known Tsurphu Monastery of Tibet.

Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple

Cradled by the Nathula Pass and Jelep La Pass on either side, Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, lovingly recognized as ‘Baba Mandir’ is a posthumous mark of respect to a heroic warrior of the Indian Army. Ranked at an elevation of an amazing 13,123 ftThe temple is well-known among devotees of Baba, who have confessed to having seen his ’soul’ itinerant in the neighboring mountain.

Namgyal Institute of Tibetology

Jelep La

Jelep La is so far one more dramatic high height mountain peak pass that reigns at a height of about 14,000 ft., stretching from East Sikkim to part of Tibet. The name ‘Jelep’ translates into a ‘lovely level pass’, which is a straight suggestion to the level terrain of the pass. The pass also bridges India and Lhasa, though overlooking the mesmerizing Menmecho Lake.

Tashi View Points

Nestled in Gangtok Tashi area, the Tashi Visions Point is a favorite between travelers and similar populace. Enchey Monastery

One of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Sikkim, Enchey Monastery dates back 200 years, when it was owned by Lama Dhrupthob Karpo. A mere 10 minutes’ drive from Gangtok, the monastery is defined with a typical Chinese Pagoda on the peak, along with some stroke of Chinese architectural style that adorns the walls. 

There is a massive hope hall, which carries boundless images and portrayal of a diversity of Gods, Goddesses and Tantric murals. The structure was efficient in the year 1909, below the orders of Sidelong Tulku. Tukla Valley

Perched at an elevation of 12,500 ftTukla Valley is a way into the wonderful image and loveliness of the Tibetan Highlands. The very tall Kanchenjunga range, counting the powerful Mt. Do Drul Chorten

Inactive on a stunning hillock, the stupa is one of the most famous traveler’s destinations to visit in East Sikkim. Placed within the vicinity of the Namgyal institution of Tibetology, the small hill that supports the stupa had been thought to worry by the populace some years ago; earlier the stupa was built up. Jawaharlal Nehru Botanical Garden

Aritar Lake

Nathang Valley

Nathang Valley is the perfect kept secret of East Sikkim!
