Q: What is the best time for a Kedarnath & Badrinath trip from Kolkata in 2026?
A: The ideal time is between May and June or September and October. For 2026, the shrines are expected to open in late April. We recommend May for stable weather, though many travelers from Kolkata prefer the post-monsoon clarity of September.
Q: Can senior citizens from Kolkata comfortably complete this trek?
A: Yes, provided they have a medical clearance. For those who cannot trek the 16km to Kedarnath, we arrange for Pony, Palki (Doli), or Helicopter services. We also plan the itinerary with gradual acclimatization to help with the altitude change from sea-level Kolkata.
Q: How do we handle Kedarnath helicopter bookings from Kolkata?
A: Helicopter tickets must be booked through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal. Our team assists you with the mandatory Char Dham Biometric Registration first, which is a prerequisite for generating the Group ID needed to book helicopter slots.
