How to Reach for The Valley of Flowers trek?
Getting to the Valley of Flowers need a hike of 17 Km. Nearest major tourist destinations is Joshimath. One can also make a plan with Auli tour packages from Kolkata. For doing the valley of flowers trek independently there has convenient road links from Haridwar and Dehradun. You can take a train, Volvo bus, or private taxi from Delhi and arrive at Haridwar. Next, you can take a taxi/ tourist vehicle or bus from Haridwar and arrive at Govindghat within 11 to 12 hours. Govindghat is about 24 km before another significant destination of Badrinath. You can also book a cab from Delhi to Govindghat. Govindghat is a tiny place close to Joshimath, where the trek begins. The trekkers need to get a permit from Forest Department at Ghangaria for visiting the Valley of flowers and the consent is valid for three days only.

Day 1: Haridwar Railway Station - Govindghat (2450m) (Drive - 290km / 10 hrs)
Early morning get transferred to Govindghat through an attractive drive along with Ganga and Alakananda Rivers. Sacred towns like Rishikesh, Dev Prayag and Rudra Prayag is on the way. Reach Govindghat and settle down in a lodge or hotel.
Day 2: Govindghat - Ghangaria (Trekking Time - 4-5hrs)
Start early morning for trekking to Ghangaria. Driving takes around 1 hour to reach Ghangaria from Govindghat. Nature Canvas Travel can arrange local vehicle for you to reach Ghangaria if required.
Relish the path all the way through jungle area and villages and the sights of waterfall and lush green landscapes. After covering 11km in 5 hours, arrive at Ghangaria. You can also hire a porter to reach Ghangaria in your own cost.
Day 3: Ghangaria (3050m) - Valley of Flowers (3600m) - Ghangaria (Trekking Time - 4 hrs)
After a short hiking of about 4 km it will take you around 2 hours to reach the famed Valley of Flowers. Spread your eyes on vast meadows spread with alpine flowers and arrogant mountains.
Exactly at the doorway the snowy peak, on the left side it is Nar Parvat and on the right side the thick Forest. Take pleasure the beauty of the area over 4 to 5 hours return back to Ghangaria.
Day 4: Ghangaria - Hemkund Sahibs – Ghangaria (Trekking Time - 7-8 hrs)
Trek to Hemkund Sahib, a respected Sikh place of worship built next to the awesome lake surrounded by natural flowers. Brahma Kamal is being the most popular flower in the region. After sharp hiking at several places infuse in the gorgeousness of the nature. Don’t forget to sip on the hot tea served at the Gurudwara. After spending some quality time return back to Ghangaria.
Day 5: Ghangaria – Govindghat (Trekking Time - 4hrs)
It is the last trekking day of the Valley of flowers trek. You may also use local vehicle for return back to Govindghat.
Later in the evening stay in Govindghat.
Day 6: Govindghat- Haridwar (290km/ 10 hrs)
After taking breakfast drive downward to Haridwar/ Delhi
