Day 1 Arrival in Guwahati
Upon arrival in Guwahati visit the Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple situated on a small island in River Brahmaputra. Enjoy sailing over the River Cruise in Brahmaputra.
Day 2 Guwahati – Shillong
Proceed to Shillong - The capital of Meghalaya. Enjoy the view of beautiful Umiam Lake and may enjoy a boat ride in the lake.
Day 3 Shillong – Cherrapunji – Shillong
After visiting Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls proceed to Cherrapunji – one of the wettest places on earth. Upon arrival, visit Ram Krishna Mission, Mawsmai Caves, Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai fall – the tallest plunge waterfall in India. In the evening, enjoy free time in local market.
Day 4 Shillong – Mawlynnong – Shillong
Explore Mawlynnong village – known as the ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’. We visit the Balancing Rock and the Living Root Bridge followed by a visit to Indo – Bangladesh border and Dawki River. In the evening have a free time for exploring the surroundings.
Day 5 Shillong – Guwahati – Departure
After breakfast depart from Shillong and proceed to Guwahati where you can board for your hometown.
Add 1 more day for Kaziranga National Park
In this case transfer to Kaziranga National Park for your wildlife trip. Early morning elephant safari. Wake up call is there half an hour before the ride. Return back to resort for breakfast. After breakfast you can take a jeep safari (central or western range).
